Call for information
The Panel’s Terms of Reference specify a number of steps that the Panel will take in fulfilling its functions, one of which is to interview and receive relevant information from individuals who are willing to provide that information.
The Panel would like to hear from anyone who believes they may have information that is relevant to their functions. If you consider that you hold information which may assist the Panel please contact them by email: email@example.com (Please note this is a new email address. However, any emails sent to the old address – firstname.lastname@example.org – will continue to be delivered until 1 March 2019.)
- The Panel will consider all information provided which is relevant to its Terms of Reference.
- The Panel is required to fulfil its Terms of Reference and to report to the Home Secretary. It is not, however, an investigative or prosecutorial authority and has no remit to build a new criminal case to be brought before the Court.
- If the Panel is provided with information that in its judgement should be handed to the investigating and prosecuting authorities, it will do so.
- The Panel is empowered to interview people who provide information. The Panel will decide whether to exercise this power and, if so, how any interviews should be conducted. Attendance at any interview it wishes to conduct is voluntary.
